Asset Management – AEM evaluates facility assets in order to provide an assessment of the assets' remaining useful life and preparation of capital budgets necessary for future alterations of the facility or processes within any part of the facility. Our professionals evaluate historic operating practices, pertaining in particular to energy use, equipment technology, impacts of the regulatory environment, and information technology.

Energy Audits, Assessment, and Modeling – AEM assessed over 15 million square feet of building area and associated processes for energy conservation opportunities.

Electric Power Quality Assessment – Using state-of-the-art, solid-state metering equipment, AEM engineers evaluate electric energy and peak demand profiles for an entire facility as well as the individual processes and sub-systems which exist within the physical plant. Our professionals also assist in managerial aspects including rate structure design and demand side management.
AEM provides engineering and related consulting services assistance to the Department of State's Overseas Building Operations (DOS/OBO) with the assessment and implementation of physical and electronic security elements in the construction of new Embassy compounds throughout the world. To date, these services and analyses were developed for nearly 20 US Embassy locations ranging from London, England to Kampala, Uganda. The elements of security for which AEM has provided support include:
- Water treatment and potable water storage facilities.
- Forced Entry and Blast resistant structures.
- Air filtration and treatment for chemical/biological hazards.
