Navy Housing Technical and Implementation Support Teams
AEM has provided software implementation and technical support to Navy Housing for over 17 years. Members of AEM's technical support and implementation staff have diverse backgrounds in a number of disciplines, such as: engineering, education and training, reporting design and development, database administration and project/program management.
The goal of AEM's implementation methodology and support team is to integrate the Navy Housing solution so that it enables our clients to achieve or exceed their business objectives. Each implementation team maintains a detailed project plan intended to provide control and guidance per task. This project plan is developed based on the client's unique requirements.
AEM's implementation methodology is founded on the best practices in use within the application implementation world and carried out by experienced specialists with strong Navy Housing background and strong project and technical management experience. AEM combines its in-house development tools and practices with Navy Housing requirements to create a defined and monitored process from the earliest stages of client application functionality identification through final implementation.
This implementation methodology is used for in-house development projects as well as worldwide on-site projects that require technical analysis and support assistance to field activities.
AEM's support team is dedicated to our client's needs. Our Navy Housing team is available 24x7 with access from around the world to better support Navy Housing. The team is equipped to handle various issues and concerns. After 17 years of support for Navy Housing users, the team has overcome quite a variety of challenges!
The team utilizes an automated tool to track all Help Desk support issues. This tool provides metrics to keep up with changing requirements and user needs such as assisting with determining if hours of operation are conducive to customer needs. Together, the team and tool help track the lifecycle of each issue and keep it available for historical purposes and attribute to an internal knowledge base system.
National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)
AEM was recently awarded the maintenance effort for NSLDS with Pearson Government Solutions as our subcontractor. The FSA owns a comprehensive and centralized repository of information for federal student aid recipients and their Pell Grants, lenders, guaranty agencies, servicers, and schools, called the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). Data is supplied to NSLDS from many different sources, both from other FSA systems and from thousands of schools and financial institutions across the country. The NSLDS contains data on nearly 50 million students; over 150 million loans; nearly 40 million Pell grants; and over 35,000 school branches, 18,000 schools, 30,000 lenders, and 60 guaranty agencies, occupying over 5 billion rows of data.
