Levette Williams supports the Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and training on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). She also supports the Statewide Longitudinal Data System program as a member of the State Support Team, where she works with states on the effective development, privacy, and use of education data.

Levette has 30 years of experience in K-12 data governance including data requirement gathering, data collections, data cleansing, data security, data privacy, data storage, data retention, and data dissemination. She previously served as the Chief Privacy and Information Security Officer for the Georgia Department of Education, where she created data privacy training courses, policies around information security, and an Incident Response Plan for the agency.
