Miki Imura, Ph.D., serves as a technical assistance provider for the Center for Integration of IDEA Data, IDEA Data Center, and National Center on Educational Outcomes. Dr. Imura offers expertise in IDEA data collection, analysis, and reporting through this work.
Prior to joining AEM, Dr. Imura served as an IDEA Part B data manager for the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) for seven years. There she oversaw the state-wide IDEA data collections, data management, data governance, and data reporting while also playing the role of an SPP-APR coordinator and a significant disproportionality project manager. During her tenure with CDE, Dr. Imura led the development and implementation of the first results-based LEA determination in the nation, which became a precursor as other states followed suit.
