Jim Campbell

AEM Vice President Jim Campbell has been a national leader in education data management for 15 years, specializing in data standards, interoperability, and TA support. He implemented the nation’s first statewide data and interoperability standard initiative and currently provides leadership support to the development and implementation of initiatives for several Department of Education projects, including State Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS), Common Education Data Standards (CEDS), Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), and the Center for the Integration of IDEA Data (CIID).

Mr. Campbell’s leadership and commitment to education data management initiatives led to a redesign of technical assistance for major US Department of Education grant programs and the design/ delivery of new technology tools utilized by more than one hundred agencies and organizations. He is actively engaged with education leadership at the local, state and national level, sits on boards and committees for numerous education data initiatives, and provides direct technical assistance to education stakeholders and strategic guidance to more than 20 high-profile education data management efforts.
