Emily Rang leads intensive technical assistance for the Center for the Integration of IDEA Data (CIID), supporting Generate implementations. She is a product support expert with experience leading a wide range of teams through education data projects. Emily has a deep understanding and commitment to mentoring others in quality education data standards use, data governance, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
Emily has served in multiple municipal and state governments, most recently leading data governance efforts at the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. During her tenure as their EDFacts Coordinator, the state received numerous awards. She led the adoption of a new public, open data repository; championed the state’s Generate implementation efforts, and facilitated several technical and data governance stakeholder groups.
Her experience spans supporting LEA’s data submission efforts to leading technical teams through complex projects to advising agency leadership on data strategy. Emily was recently a contributor to the updated Standards for Education Data and Reporting (SEDCAR) to be released by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) Forum.
