Fred Edora provides technical assistance to states as part of the IDEA Data Center (IDC) and the Center for the Integration of IDEA Data (CIID). Mr. Edora brings nine years of experience with data collection and reporting in various programs at the state level, including the reporting and analysis of state education and workforce data. He currently is a technical assistance (TA) provider for CIID and a state liaison with IDC, providing TA for special education data integration, collection, reporting, and data visualization, while also presenting on data visualization tools, resources, and best practices.

Mr. Edora previously served as the Data Manager for the South Carolina Department of Education in the agency’s Office of Special Education Services. He was the state lead for reporting of special education data for students ages 3-21, including the collection and reporting of Part B/619 data (Indicators B6, B7, and B12) of South Carolina's IDEA Part B State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report. He also provided training and technical assistance to school district Special Education Directors, Data Managers, and staff on reporting procedures several times a year. 

Mr. Edora has served in several leadership roles, committees, and workgroups during his time in state government and as a TA provider. This includes directing a state workgroup to integrate South Carolina’s IDEA Part B and Part C data, election into the leadership of the Special Education Data Manager’s Affinity Group (SEDMAG) for the National Association of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE), and leading data analysis and research activities for the state’s Part B State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP), which focused on reading improvement for students receiving special education services. He also was the co-lead for IDC’s Data Display Wizard for both Part B/619 and Part C, allowing users to communicate complex data to stakeholders in an easier and more user-friendly manner.
