Grace Lu-Fleming

Grace Lu-Fleming provides technical assistance for the Student Privacy Policy Office’s (SPPO) Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC). She manages extensive correspondence and project tracking to deliver training to a variety of stakeholders from local and state education agencies. Grace supports conversations of legal subject matter on topics relevant to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and other legislation related to student data privacy.

Grace offers more than ten years of experience in the education field. Prior to joining AEM, Grace taught early childhood special education in the United States and English abroad in South Korea and Brazil. She has provided culturally responsive early intervention in home-based and classroom-based settings. She brings expertise in preschool special education processes, early childhood data and assessment tools, and implementation of services under Part B, 619 IDEA components. Grace received her Master of Arts in Teaching degree from James Madison University. She holds a dual teacher licensure in Special Education: Early Childhood and Early/Primary Education.
