AEM leveraged its knowledge of early childhood health and its expertise in data management to assist the Early Childhood Comprehensive System Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network Coordination Center (ECCS-CoIIN).
We worked with the 12 ECCS state teams (known as Impact Grantees) and their chosen community project teams to enhance early childhood systems and demonstrate improved outcomes in population-based children’s developmental health and family well-being indicators. We used a collective impact framework to help teams implement best practices for supporting early childhood systems and sustaining their efforts at the state, county and community levels.
Through this work, we increased developmental skills of 3-year-old children by 25 percent in targeted communities.
