Steve Lenker is responsible for management and direction of large-scale software, IT, and data management projects in support of the U.S. Department of Education’s strategic goals and business objectives.

• Brings more than 34 years of experience managing a portfolio of information systems for education data collection and warehousing initiatives focusing on providing business solutions.
• Leads software development, data management, and stakeholder support teams toward successful outcomes for high-profile EDFacts technology support programs.
• Led multiple new system design, development, and implementation efforts for student loan programs under FSA FFEL and Direct Loan programs for Loan Guaranty, Origination, Servicing and Default/Collection. Efforts included the data migration of student loan portfolios in excess of $27 billion.
• Process-focused professional with experience leading teams that have been appraised at CMMI Maturity Level 3 for Development and Services.
